North Andover Youth Hockey League
2020/2021 Online Registration

 
 

USE THE BIRTH YEAR OF YOUR PLAYER TO SELECT THE APPROPRIATE PROGRAM FROM THE LIST BELOW.

  • Mite (8U): 2012 - 2014
  • Squirt (10U): 2010 - 2011
  • Peewee (12U): 2008 - 2009 
  • Bantam (14U): 2006 - 2007


EVALUATION REGISTRATION FEE: All travel teams (Mite, Squirt, Peewee, Bantam), evaluation registration fees are non-refundable. The mite, squirt, peewee, and bantam evaluation and the registration fee is $100.

The evaluation skates are scheduled to take place on Monday, March 9, and Friday, March 13. The schedule will be published shortly. 

TUITION & PAYMENTS:
This year, North Andover Youth Hockey is $1,900 per player for the Squirt through the Bantam level. Mite tuition is $1,400. Tuition for the U10 and U12 "games only" girls teams is currently set at $300; tuition for the U14 girl's team is still to be determined.

Programs Total Cost:

Mites : $100 (evaluation and reg. fee) + $1,400 (program cost) = $1,500

Squirts - Bantams: $100 (evaluaiton and reg. fee) + $1,900 (program cost) = $2,000

USA Hockey Member Registration

All players, regardless of age, must register with USA Hockey to participate in these programs. For players born in 2014 and after, there is no fee. For players born in 2013 and earlier, there is a $56.50 fee ($46 for USA Hockey, $10.50 Mass Hockey affiliate fee) paid to USA Hockey. Click here to register with USA Hockey

Girl's Middle School Hockey

A $50 dollar deposit is required to register for this program. Note that the total cost of the program is dependant on the number of participants. The Middle School Teams are games only. 

If your player requires a new NAMS jersey there is a fee of $50. 

Girls in 6th - 8th grade will play in the Martian Middle School Hockey League (MSDHL). The MSDHL will consist of: 

  •  13 - 15 Games, regular season, and playoffs. 
  • Weekly league coverage by online publication staff on the MSDHL website. The website includes

    • Schedules

The middle school season starts in November and runs through February. 

When registering your player the system may have them identified as being in the wrong grade level. During the registration process, there will be a questionnaire that asks for the player's grade level for the 2020-2021 school year. Any discrepancies will be corrected after registration is closed.

Boys Middle School Hockey

Boys in 6th - 8th grade will play in the Valley Middle School Hockey League (VMSHL). The VMSHL will consist of: 

  •  12 - 15 Games with a parity Jamboree, regular season, and playoffs. 
  • Convenient travel by utilizing Valley Associates exiting network of facilities
  • Weekly league coverage by online publication staff on www.vsmhl.com. The website includes

2020 Boys Fall High School Hockey

The Boys Fall High School Hockey program (pre – HS season) has no affiliation with the North Andover High School team; however, our goal is to prepare the players for tryouts and the High School season. The number of teams we field depends on the number of participants. This year we are hoping to have three teams (U16, U17, and U18). 

The Fall High School Hockey program will run for 12 weeks starting in September and run through Thanksgiving. The cost of the program will be determined by the number of participants. The fees will be due before September.

Games will be played on the weekends and practices will most likely be at the Lawrence Valley Forum held on: 

Tuesdays                     4:00 – 5:00

Wednesdays               8:20 – 10:30

The Girls U18 program (pre – HS season) has no affiliation with the North Andover High School team; however, our goal is to prepare the players for tryouts and the High School season.

2020/2021 Learn To Skate Program Session 1: Fridays (Oct 16th - Dec 18th)

Learn To Skate - Session 1 (October - December)

The NAYHL is offering a 10 week Learn To Skate program for only $200*! This program is great fun for the kids - you will be amazed at how quickly they are skating on their own!

This fall, the Learn to Skate program will be held Friday afternoons starting at 5:05 PM. The program will be held at the Lawrence Valley Forum.

Designed for children ages four and up who are first-time skaters, the Learn to Skate Program teaches the fundamentals of ice skating in a fun-filled atmosphere with supervised instruction. The program focuses on skating skills, safety, and fun. Previous skating experience is not required.

All LTS participants must have the following equipment to participate in the program:

  • Hockey Skates (no figure skates!)

  • Helmet with full cage (All helmets and masks must be HECC certified)

  • Hockey Gloves (or gloves/mittens)

  • Elbow Pads (optional, but recommended)

  • Shin/Knee Pads (optional, but recommended)

  • A mouthguard is optional at this level

  • Snow or ski pants (recommended)

We recommend that you choose hockey equipment for your child in the LTS program.​​

The Learn To Play Hockey (LTP) Session 1 program runs from September 21 through November 13. The LTP sessions will be held at the Lawrence Valley Forum on Monday's and Friday's. The start times will vary between 4:00 PM and 5:00 PM. Each session is 50 minutes of on-ice instruction.


The LTP program is designed for children age five and up who are already skating and are planning to join the hockey program in the coming years. The LTP program continues to develop the players skating skills, but also incorporates some of the fundamentals of hockey in a fun-filled atmosphere with supervised instruction. The program focuses on skating skills, hockey skills, safety, and fun.

Required Equipment
For safety and to ensure the enjoyment of the game, please make sure each child is properly dressed to play hockey. Incidental contact, falling on elbows, knees, and tail bones are common when playing hockey.

All LTP participants must have the following equipment to participate in the program:

  • Hockey Skates

  • Helmet with full cage (All helmets and masks must be HECC certified)

  • Elbow Pads

  • Shin Pads

  • Hockey Socks

  • Shoulder/Chest Protector

  • Hockey Gloves

  • Hockey Pants

  • Hockey Stick

  • A mouthguard is optional at this level

The Learn To Play Hockey (LTP) program will have 3 different sessions this year. It's normally $300 per session. If you register for all 3 sessions at the same time it's $800, and if you register for 2 sessions at the same time it's $550

Session 1: September 21 - November 13
