Learn To Skate - Session 2

The NAYHL is offering a 8 week Learn To Skate program! This program is great fun for the kids - you will be amazed at how quickly they are skating on their own! There is a $50 deposit required to hold your spot. The final cost of the program and the days it will be held will be determined at a later date.

Designed for children ages four and up who are first-time skaters, the Learn to Skate Program teaches the fundamentals of ice skating in a fun-filled atmosphere with supervised instruction. The program focuses on skating skills, safety, and fun. Previous skating experience is not required.

All LTS participants must have the following equipment to participate in the program:

  • Hockey Skates (no figure skates!)

  • Helmet with full cage (All helmets and masks must be HECC certified)

  • Hockey Gloves (or gloves/mittens)

  • Elbow Pads (optional, but recommended)

  • Shin/Knee Pads (optional, but recommended)

  • A mouthguard is optional at this level

  • Snow or ski pants (recommended)

We recommend that you choose hockey equipment for your child in the LTS program.

* All players, regardless of age, must register with
USA Hockey to participate in these programs. For players born in 2015 and after, there is no fee. For players born in 2014 and earlier, there is a $48.50 fee ($46 for USA Hockey, $2.50 Mass Hockey affiliate fee) paid to USA Hockey for this registration.
