Frequently asked questions

When are player evaluations for next season held?

Travel team player evaluations for the next season (season starts in September) are typically held in March of that same calendar year, but may possibly be held as late as April. The exact dates are determined based on a number of factors, including the last possible game of the playoffs for all of our current teams, rink availability and coach availability.

There are no evaluations for the Learn to Skate or Learn to Play Hockey programs.

What happens if my player misses the player evaluations?

If this is the player's first year with NAYHL, he will be placed on the lowest level of his age group and advanced to the appropriate level, if needed during the season. If the player skated for a NAYHL team in the previous year, the coach's assessment will be used to place him on the most appropriate team.

What is the general order of events between evaluations and the start of the season for the travel teams?

As described above, evaluations for the next hockey season are held in March or April.

Team selections are usually completed by mid-April.

Jersey sizing and uniform selections are completed in May.

Jersey pickup is typically scheduled for late August or early September, depending on when they become available.

For each of these events, the league website will be updated as soon as the dates are identified and emails will be sent out to all families as the date approaches.

There are no evaluations for the Learn to Skate and Learn to Play Hockey programs, nor are there shirt sizing/pickup. The Learn to Skate and Learn to Play Hockey programs start in mid-September. If you have registered with the league, you should receive an email well before the program starts. If you are not yet registered, check the website regularly for program updates.

When are my payments due?

The travel teams (Mites, Squirts, Peewees, and Bantams) have payment plans that allow you to make payments for the season across multiple months. Generally, payments are due on the first day of the month from May through December. The payment schedule is detailed for each program as part of the registration process.

Learn to Skate and Learn to Play tuition must be paid in full prior to the start of the session.

In all cases, the easiest way to make these payments is by automatic withdrawal or by credit card on the NAYHL website.

How can I make a payment or check the balance that my family owes for my player or players?

You can make payments to NAYHL or check the current balance for your players by logging in to your personal account at knighthockey.org. Simply click on "Account" in the menu at the top of the page. Log in using the email address and password that you previously provided during registration. Once logged in, you will be presented with a list of family members and their associated programs.

Can I make my payment by check or by VENMO?

Yes. Although, automatic bank withdrawals and/or credit card payments are easier for both payer and payee. If you prefer to pay by check, you can mail your payment to:

NAYHL

PO Box 253

North Andover, MA 01845

Our VENMO address is: NorthAndover-YouthHockey

*Note that it may take up to a month for your payment to be reflected in your balance when you pay by check.

I've forgotten my password to the website - how can I recover my password?

As long as you remember the email address used to register your player(s), you can recover your password by entering the email address only at the login screen. Your password will be emailed to you.

If you have forgotten the email address used to register with NAYHL or are still having problems logging in to the website, send an email to webmaster@knighthockey.org for assistance.
