Designed for children ages 4 and up who are first time skaters.

When

This program runs for 8 weeks per session. We will hold 3 separate sessions to get your child ready for learn to play hockey.

Where

Practices are held at the Lawrence Valley Forum.

Volunteers

Volunteers are welcome but must be registered with USA Hockey.

NAYHL is offering a 8 week Learn To Skate program! This program is great fun for the kids. You will be amazed at how quickly they are skating on their own!

Designed for children ages four and up who are first time skaters, the Learn to Skate Program teaches the fundamentals of ice skating in a fun filled atmosphere with supervised instruction. The program focuses on skating skills, safety, and fun. Previous skating experience is not required.

All LTS participants should have the following equipment to participate in the program:

Hockey Skates (no figure skates please)

Helmet with full cage (All helmets and masks must be HECC certified)

Hockey Gloves (or gloves/mittens)

Elbow Pads (optional, but recommended)

Shin/Knee Pads (optional, but recommended)

A mouthguard is optional at this level

Snow or ski pants (recommended)

We recommend that you choose hockey equipment for your child in the LTS program.​​
